Wordcat ("the App") helps Shopify merchants generate product descriptions and SEO metadata. This policy explains what data the App handles.

Data we access

• Store data: your shop domain and an access token, used to read your products and write descriptions/SEO you choose to apply. The token is stored encrypted and is revoked on uninstall.
• Product content: product titles you select are sent to our AI provider to generate copy. We do not store generated content beyond what you apply to your own products.

What we do NOT collect

The App does not access, store, or process your customers' personal data. It requests only read_products and write_products scopes.

Subprocessors

AI generation is performed by a third-party large-language-model provider — depending on our configuration this is OpenRouter, OpenAI, or Anthropic. Product titles sent for generation are processed transiently and are not used by us to train models.

Data retention & GDPR

On uninstall (or a shop/redact request) we delete your shop record and token. We honor the customers/data_request and customers/redact webhooks; since we store no customer data, there is nothing to return or erase.
